Gail Bower specializes in raising the visibility, revenue, and impact of non-profit organizations. She's a professional consultant, author, and speaker, with 20 years of experience managing some of the country's most important events, festivals and sponsorships. (Business Philadelphia named Gail one of the "100 People to Watch" in 1993.) Launched in 1987, today Bower & Co. provides marketing and business development counsel and implements marketing programs.
Gail has advised clients in a wide range of industries and disciplines. Including: University of Pennsylvania, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, International House of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Education Fund, Pro Bono Net, Sunoco and the Academy of Process Technology, Lutheran Settlement House, Philadelphia Academies, Inc., Widener University, Philip Morris, University City District, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Works on Paper Gallery, Women's Community Revitalization Project, Golden Slipper Camp, Golden Slipper Club & Charities, FMC Corporation, Philadelphia Inquirer, John Wanamaker, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, Yards Brewing Company, International Schools Service, among many others.
She has also produced, marketed, and/or developed sponsorship programs for festivals nationally. Including Philadelphia's Jambalaya Jam, RiverBlues and the Mellon Jazz Festival, plus the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Essence Music Festival, JVC Jazz Festival, and the largest public events as part of former President Clinton's 1992 and 1997 Inaugurations.
She teaches a course on Event Sponsorship for Temple University's School of Tourism & Hospitality Management and speaks regularly about sponsorship, marketing, and events. She's often a guest speaker at educational forums, such as the Organization of American State's Event Management Symposium in Grenada, and at conferences like the International Association of Jazz Educators annual conference in New York. Gail served on the boards of directors of Phrenic New Ballet and the ALS Association, Philadelphia Chapter.
